At age four, he began piano studies with his father, later he studied with violinist Shuhui Xu, his musical studies continued with violinist Zhonghua Sheng and Professor Lixun Dou as well as chamber music wit…h Professor Zhinuo Ding at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. There, he received his B.A. degree. In 1984 he was granted a full scholarship to study under the guidance of world-renowned violinist and conductor Professor Rudolf Baumgartner as well as with Professor Gunnars Larsens at the Lucerne Conservatorium in Switzerland, where he received his well-deserved Concert Diploma. In1985 his violin playing impressed Maestro Yehudi Menuhin in Gstaad, Switzerland.In 1986 Fong Fong began writing music. His teachers have been Professor Robert Gazizov, Maestro William Eckfeld and Professor Paul Caputo. The audiences enjoy his Neo-Romantic style of music, which has been premiered by the Antara Ensemble, Northern Westchester Symphony Orchestra, and the Manhattan Symphonie.
