49x36 cm. Map removed from Mitchell's New General Atlas. Full color by county. Very good condition, with light creases at top edge, small partial holes at right edge. With a copyright date of 1874, this appears to be an early state of a rare map which appeared in a limited number of editions of the atlas. Differs from a later (1876) state of this map as, among other differences, the counties of western Nebraska are not named and that Gov. Stevens Proposed Route for the Northern Pacific Railroad is not shown.
