Fine with clean covers, bright white letters, all photos present and in fine condition, previous owner's signature in pencil on the front free endpaper [David C. Graham] and with no internal markings. Dust jacket has a few tiny chips at the top and bottom of the spine and is very lightly soiled, but not price-clipped. Color postcard of St. Peter's -by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, Sitka, Alaska, laid in. This church was dedicated in 1900 by Bishop Rowe. Written by Bishop Thomas Jenkins [Nevada], this is a biography of the first American bishop of the Episcopal Church in Alaska and covers a period of expansion beginning with the Klondike gold rush in 1896 until 1934. This copy is from the library of the late Bishop Francis Eric Bloy. NOTE: This is the true first edition and not a later reprint of POD.
