Appears to be a mixed-state first edition with most of the first printing issue points present. For example, "latter" is present on pg. 586. On pg. 123, though, it's "visiter" instead of "sister" or "visitor." Typical rubbing and edgewear; mild toning with some inventory marks penciled on pastedown. Illustrated as issued (Phiz). Some heavier foxing to illustrated leaves. A few leaves show handling wear with a couple apparently repaired. Binding is tight and square. Overall, a wonderful copy.
