Political scientist Lucien Marquis taught at Pitzer College and was a close friend of Zeitlin, with whom he did an oral history interview in the early 1970s. This book republishes some of the most important papers issued during World War II by the Experimental Division for the Study of Wartime Communication at the Library of Congress and also includes an introductory section by Lasswell composed of three chapters on the power and politics of language.
