The author approaches his subject from the point of view of observed behaviours of infants and their adults, and the probable causes. The dust jacket has some minimal wear along the edges; the front of it is almost as new, the back is shelf souled, and has two small tea-stain spots. The cloth covers are in very good condition, as is the binding. There is a discreet bookseller's sticker inside the front cover. The end papers are slightly browned, the pages of the text are clean and bright.
