Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Direct torque control or DTC is a very latest ac drive technology which can replace traditional PWM drives of open or closed loop control method. DTC describes the control of torque of a motor directly based on the electromagnetic state of the motor as similar to a dc drive. DTC allows the motor's torque and stator flux to be used as the primary control variables which are obtained directly from the motor by using advanced motor theory. The major problems faced by Direct Torque control of an induction machine are the production of the high torque ripples present in the output of the induction motor. The torque ripple is caused by the use of the three level hysteresis comparator for torque comparison. This ripple can be reduced by using a special controller for torque comparison. By proper selection of the torque controller parameters the torque ripple can be reduced. The objective of the thesis is to model and simulate the direct torque control of the induction motor with this technique using MATLAB simulink package and show its feasibility by comparing it with the available DTC method. The models are developed from the various mathematical equations governing the system. 60 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -For the application of drives with variable speed, DC machines were largely utilized from several years. It is chiefly, because of the reduced control over coupling between flux and torque. It can be attained by controlling the armature current and thereby field. Electrical DC Machines are substantially utilized for the applications of changeable speed to provide a quicker and excellent active response over torque due to consistently stable torque angle by commutator. Still, DC machines possess two main drawbacks. Firstly, the mechanical construction of brush and another one is commutator. As in the result, regular maintenance becomes must and it restricts the DC machines usage in the rapid and unstable applications. On the other hand, AC Machines possess numerous benefits as comparing to DC machines. These are rugged, involve lesser maintenance, inexpensive and high speed performance. Fundamentally, the controlling techniques of AC machines can be categorized, as the controls of scalar and vector. The amplitude and frequency of space vectors of current, voltage, and flux linkage are regulated in the scalar control. 52 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The present work correlates to improve the performance of CDTC in terms of steady state ripples, Space Vector Pulsewidth Modulation (SVPWM) algorithm based on reference voltage vector calculator which utilizes the stator flux components as control variables has been proposed for DTC. To reduce the complexity involved in the classical SVPWM algorithm and to improve the performance of CDTC in terms of ripples and THD in this research, a simplified Space Vector Pulsewidth Modulation (SVPWM) is which uses only the reference phase voltages is proposed which is simple and enables the operation of the inverter at constant switching frequency. From the study, it can be concluded that by using different continuous PWM algorithms using the concept of imaginary switching times the acoustical noise, switching losses and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) can be minimized. 128 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The present work describes the Direct Torque Control of Induction motor Drive using various Simplified Space vector Based Random PWM Algorithms for Reduction of Total Harmonic Distortion and Acoustical Noise. To reduce the complexity involved in the classical SVPWM algorithm and to improve the performance of CDTC in terms of ripples and THD in this research, a simplified SVPWM is initiated. To reduce the acoustical noise and total harmonic distortion of the drive due to the large amplitudes of dominating harmonics around the multiples of switching frequency at all Modulation Indices various Random PWM Algorithms namely RZSDPWM, DZRCDPWM, HRPWM and VDRPWM Algorithms are implemented using MATLAB/simulink Simulation for the Induction motor drive and the resulting THD and Noise are compared with the conventional Drive. It is observed that the proposed RPWM algorithms gives spread spectra and hence give less acoustical noise when compared with SVPWM algorithm based DTC. Further, the proposed RPWM algorithms using the concept of imaginary switching times results in superior performance in terms of acoustical noise and THD over wide range of modulation indices. 168 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - Print on Demand Titel. Neuware -The present work correlates to improve the performance of CDTC in terms of steady state ripples, Space Vector Pulsewidth Modulation (SVPWM) algorithm based on reference voltage vector calculator which utilizes the stator flux components as control variables has been proposed for DTC. From the study, it can be concluded that by using different continuous PWM algorithms using the concept of imaginary switching times the acoustical noise, switching losses and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) can be minimized.VDM Verlag, Dudweiler Landstraße 99, 66123 Saarbrücken 128 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The book focuses on a different approach to improve DTC performance with different inverter topologies (Multilevel Inverter) in order to overcome torque distortion. Diode clamped seven level and nine level inverters is proposed in this book to alleviate the problems in conventional DTC scheme and also sliding mode observer based control for DTC of induction motor is proposed to minimize the starting currents, torque ripples and steadystate error in the developed torque.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The present work describes the Direct Torque Control of Induction motor Drive using various Simplified Space vector Based Random PWM Algorithms for Reduction of Total Harmonic Distortion and Acoustical Noise. Further, the proposed RPWM algorithms using the concept of imaginary switching times results in superior performance in terms of acoustical noise and THD over wide range of modulation indices.…
