Some spots and soiling to the exterior covers but quite clean overall (see photos). Rub wear to edges, seams and corners. Quite a nice copy all in all. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) It is a new edition of the Bible that accompanied our forefathers to the new world. This Bible contains a Family Register, Notes to the Modern Reader, History and Impact of the Geneva Bible, A form of prayer to be used in private hours, and a Glossary of Middle-English terms originally used in the 1599 Geneva Bible. Shows some use, text is clean throughout.

Double-column text with central column references, occasional Scripture maps. Family Register between Old and New Testaments with neatly written entries going back to 1825. Two ribbon markers and also includes a period homemade ribbon bookmark displaying the words: 'Lovest thou me'. A near fine, crisp and clean copy, presented in a superb, ornate binding with gauffered gilt edged text. Bound in full contemporary blind tooled leather with original working clasps. Ornate inner floral gilt dentelles to the boards. Spine with raised bands and blind décor. With absolute minimal light wear only else a superb binding for the discerning collector.
