This was then reprinted in 1584 with the title 'A Handefull of pleasant Delites'. Written by Clement Robinson, an English writer and editor of ballads and songs. It is unclear whether Robinson wrote all of the songs in this collection, or if he edited and compiled a selection of his own work with other writers. All the pieces in this work were intended to accompany music. This edition was edited by Arnold Kershaw, who was an examiner in English language and literature to the Association of Commercial Science at the time of printing. In the publisher's smart quarter cloth binding with red paper covered boards. In the original dust wrapper, which has been clipped. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. A touch of fading to the extremities and very light soiling to the head of the front board. Dust wrapper is very smart, with light edge wear and sunning to the extremities and to the spine. The occasional mark to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
