After high school in 1949, he enlisted in the US Army and spent a year in Korea as an Army cook. The Army gave him great leeway in the kitchen, and his skills were broadened. Bobby Hackett acquired Fraher's Restaurant in late 1969 and held his Grand Opening on January 20,1970, 25 years ago. Opening his own shop, Bobby brought with him his years of mastery in the culinary arts.
