This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped in New York City on June 1, 1972, and originally telecast on PBS on June 11, 1972. Hosted by William F. Buckley, Jr., the topic was "Does Subversion Work?"; the guests were Alan Barth, former chief editorial writer for The Washington Post, and author Laurence Beilenson; the panelists, all from Columbia University, were: Professor J.C.
