Also by Sarg are the endpaper drawings ["I see myself hurried through the streets, a breathless prisoner, hatless, coatless"] and a charming illustration mounted on the front cover. The whimsical cover features a full-color caricature of Fibble, with his buck teeth and prominent Adams-apple, on a bright orange circle background. Fiddle takes a lovers leap and finally snags Miss Hamm. Original cloth. Gilt lettering on the spine is still bright and shiny.
