Attention is devoted to the doll industry in Canada and how the manufacturing process evolved from bisque and composition dolls through the various plastics to the dolls of today. Reproduction dolls are not presented, although two are shown as working dolls. With few exceptions, every doll described in this book has been personally examined by the author. The dust jacket is also in near-fine condition, its only fault a slight ripple on the back cover. The dust jacket is now enclosed in a protective mylar wrap. The book had hundreds of black and white photographs and a twenty-page section of four to a page colour photographs.
