Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the historical and theological arguments surrounding the New Testament. The author explores the evidence for the authenticity of the New Testament, examining both historical and literary perspectives. The book's primary focus is to prove that the New Testament was genuinely written by the people attributed to it and that its message has remained largely unchanged over time. The author meticulously scrutinizes the historical context of the New Testament, examining the lives of individuals mentioned within its pages and comparing these figures to what is known about them from other ancient sources. In addition to the historical analysis, the author explores the textual evidence, including quotations from early Christian and non-Christian writers, and analyzes the consistent use of the New Testament as a foundation for early Christian faith. Ultimately, the author seeks to establish the trustworthiness of the New Testament as a record of historical events and a source of divine truth. This detailed investigation into the New Testament's origins offers a compelling exploration of the foundational document of Christianity. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Seller: Riverby Books, Fredericksburg, VA, U.S.A.
Soft cover. Condition: Good. Softcover in wraps. Wraps are plain gray, with some chips at the edges and spine. 78 pages. Pages clean and square with only the mildest instances of foxing. Title page is faded (as though it was exposed more to the world than the other pages - perhaps before the grey wraps were added). The author was Timothy Dwight, who went on to become the President of Yale. This copy has an ownership signature on the title page, "Joseph Eckley." While the name is not unique, it may be that this is the same Joseph Eckley who was the Pastor of the Old South Church in Boston from 1777 until his death in 1811. He was Dwight's contemporary, and it was a small group of theologians and academics in the northeast at that time. A delightful association copy of an early NY imprint.
