The cross compiler was built in the host to after-testing a compatible combination of glibc (GNU C library), binutils (binary utilities), kernel version and GCC itself. The server program monitors the bandwidth usage, keeps a history of (download and upload) rates and modem activities such as BER (Bit Error Rate), memory, disk usage, and the uptime. It sends the monitored data via TPC/IP network using secure shell protocol (SSH) and secure copy (SCP) to an Apache web server.
