POSTAL HISTORY & MANUSCRIPT CONTENT: This specimen is postally used and provides excellent holiday transit context. The reverse contains a bold, fluid handwritten message in dark ink tracking the holidaymaker's arrival on the island: "Arrived here on Thursday morning all right. Thanks for your kind letter, we are getting on all right & it will be fine to see you home on Tuesday. Write soon or let us hear if any of them are down at your place. Love to all." The card features an intact green King Edward VII Half-Penny stamp cleanly tied to the cardstock by a dark, perfectly struck circular duplex postmark reading "DOUGLAS / ISLE OF MAN / 2:15 PM / SP 1 / 05" (September 1, 1905). The color-printed face remains vibrant, clean, and smooth with excellent registration and no major surface scuffs or ink stains. Edges are straight with only very minor, standard tip rubbing at the corners from historic album storage. The reverse cardstock face is well-preserved; the vertical "Shield Series" publisher stamp, the green stamp, and the Douglas Manx postmark are completely sharp and legibly clear.
