His story "The Green Heart," which appeared in AHMM, was filmed as A New Leaf, an Elaine May film starring Walter Matthau.Jack Ritchie was nominated for three Edgar Awards, winning for his Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine story "The Absence of Emily."
