Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Controlled low strength material (CLSM) is self-compacting flowable fill which is primarily used as backfill. This book presents the investigation done on CLSM mixtures made using NaOH, lime, bottom ash, fly ash, and water. A series of experiments on fresh state, viz. flowability, fresh density, segregation resistance and bleeding were conducted. The CLSM mixtures were also tested for water absorption, hardened density, ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength at hardened state. The flowability of all samples is 300 ± 20 mm and increase in FA/binder ratio reduces the flowability of mixture. All the CLSM mixtures were classified as normal weight. All samples had good segregation resistance with non-corrosive behavior. Durability properties of CLSM were satisfactory. Compressive strength of mixtures varied between 1.1 MPa to 3.35 MPa. Increment of lime and NaOH leads to increment in strength only at certain ratios. It is concluded that the CLSM mixtures produced in the investigation are cement-free, has good mechanical and durability properties and can be used in practical applications. 132 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The performance of industrial waste incineration bottom ash and quarry dust in controlled low-strength material (CLSM) is investigated and presented in this work. The experimental investigation was carried out in two phases; preliminary and detailed. The preliminary investigation was aimed at finding the feasibility of industrial waste incineration bottom ash in CLSM application and to study the effect of refined kaolin as an additive on the performance of CLSM. Results indicated good potential for the use of bottom ash in CLSM, the addition of refined kaolin reduced the strength, but increased the concentration of contaminants and hence use of kaolin was discontinued. The detailed investigation concentrated on the study of engineering and leaching properties of CLSM. CLSM mixtures were made using bottom ash, quarry dust and cement with strength ranging from 0.4 MPa to 8.3 MPa. Results pertaining to the behavior, performance, and environmental impact of CLSM are presented in detail. Various parameters are analyzed to evaluate the performance of incineration bottom ash and quarry dust in CLSM.…
