At the time the text of several of the works ( Les Mis, Notre Dame ) was the most complete yet published in English with previously omitted chapters & passages specialy translated for inclusion. 13500 grams.

Interior is clean with NO markings in text. Dramas VII (The Burgraves, Amy Robsart) has an open tear at the top edge of front fly leaf. Dramas IX (Torquemada) is stress and exposed at the rear hinge, but still holding. Novels XIX, Volume 1 (Les Miserable) is soiled and stained to the first few pages. Bookplate in Vol.I, a few marginal notes, some spotting, some page corners creased and thumbed. Please enquire. Still an attractive set despite the noted age wear and repair.
