La traduzione è stata affidata ad un gruppo, nato all'interno di una associazione culturale, diretto da una insegnante di madre lingua. In Brasile è già alla terza edizione, per complessive 16 ristampe (ultima ristampa maggio 2004 - editore "Companhia Das Letras"). È stato tradotto e pubblicato negli Stati Uniti con il titolo "Bossa Nova: The Story of Brasilian Music that Seduced the World", Chicago Review Press - 2003. Libro.
