It was published later in an expanded version in book form in 1941 as NO LOVE LOST. "Although now virtually forgotten, Robert Reeves (1911 or 1912-1945)… was a talented mystery novelist and an important BLACK MASK writer. His untimely death cut short a career which had the potential of becoming a notable one" (John L. Apostolou). According to Ron Goulart, Cellini Smith is "vaguely incompetent" and the Reeves novels are "fine examples of the screwball side of the hard-boiled school." Trade paperback format. A fine copy.
