Condition notes: a very good first THUS English language edition copy, in the uncommon dustjacket. Marbled boards somewhat toned/dulled, with edges and (esp) corners worn through. Spine ends rolled, corners bumped. Spine gilding remains bright. Binding sound, square, tight. Text block edges tanned. Dust jacket excellent, in mylar. Interior tanned but unmarked. Historic bookshop label to tail front pastedown: The famed Atlantis Bookshop of Museum Street, London, founded 1922. Blanquerna, written 1283-1285, "[expresses] the missionary spirit. To those who come to the book with receptive minds, there will be no room for anything but admiration of the persistence with which Lull returns again and again to this theme.
