How many other details might vary, and how often among the many printings - well, we haven't made a study of that. Maybe it means something. Unusual to find a signed copy in such Fine condition complete with this "portrait." In collectible condition. In a 2004 NPR interview with Michele Norris, Handler addresses the tone and motifs of his writing: "There's that.dark energy behind the story, that once your parents are removed from the picture. the chaos of the world can begin to filter in." His writings often echo the themes of childhood hardship and challenges often found in the writings of Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and Maurice Sendak. Slipcase in Near Fine condition.
