Bright gilt titles on spine, light spot staining on the spine, very solid binding with front inside hinge partly cracked with previous owners light name and 1910 date on front end page, spot mark on bottom page edges between pages 73-84. A collection of of stories originally printed in chap-books in the 18th century, some would be older than that. Mostly traditional tales such as Dick Whittington, Jack the Giant-Killer, Robin Hood and others; but also comical ones such as "Paddy from Cork", and the Wise Men of Gotham; also the story of one Peter Anderson from Aberdeen, who was captured by Indians in America, 350 pages.
