Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Large hardcover with slipcase. Green cloth over boards. Decorative gold stamping. Hardcover contains softcover whatever and facsimiles of the maps by Gerardus Mercator contained in the Atlas of Europe, circa 1570-1572. The softcover book contains essays by a team of map scholars. The large format book is in very good condition, with unmarked pages. All 17 maps are present and in very good condition. There's a little bit of scuffing to the front cover of the hardback portfolio, but it's in good shape overall. Slipcase is covered in glossy, forest green paper. It's in solid shape, with some light rubbing and bumping to corners. A wonderful edition, in very good condition overall. Please e-mail us with questions or to request photos. A portfolio (measiring 42cm by 28cm), housed in a laminated card slipcase, containing a 92-page softcover book and 17 double-page colour maps, protected by a green cloth chemise.
