Para ello, Alicia Romero López realiza un minucioso estudio de lo fantástico (desde una visión general hasta el imaginario hoffmanniano), planteando una investigación que desemboca en establecer los motivos y su desarrollo textual en ocho cuentos de Emilia Pardo Bazán, a saber: Un destripador de antaño (1890), El ruido (1892), El talismán (1894), La máscara (1897), Vampiro (1901), Las espinas (1919), La Borgoñona (1885) y Los pendientes (1909). A través de estudio se nos muestra la extensión europea de este tipo de motivos, con los relatos de Hoffmann como base hipotextual, marcando, de este modo, un nuevo ámbito de influencia (en las narraciones de Emilia Pardo Bazán y, por extensión, en la literatura española). 106 pp. Spanisch.
