He is regarded by many as one of the most influential and prolific mathematics educators of the twentieth century, and is probably best known for introducing new approaches to teachin…g and learning mathematics, foreign languages, and reading. He developed pedagogical materials for each of these approaches, and published numerous books and articles on the topics of education and human development. In his approach to teaching mathematics, manipulatives and Cuisenaire Rods are part of a way of systematically developing students' mathematical thinking through the exploration of clear and tangible problems. This book includes sections of Books 2, 3 and 5 of the original Arithmetic with Numbers in Colour Series published from 1957. The book is bound in paperback form in the original card covers. It is in very good condition with shelf wear and light soiling to the covers. The contents are secure and clean with no inscription.
