Grâce à la quantification vectorielle du support et du rendu des formes, il apparaîtra que les formes simples peuvent être assimilées à un alphabet visuel et que les formes complexes deviennent alors des mots rédigés sur cet alphabet qui pourront être enregistrés dans un dictionnaire. A l'aide d'un balayage au plus proche voisin appliqué sur les formes de l'image, l'encodage auto-descriptif produira alors une phrase formée de mots rédigés à partir de l'alphabet des formes simples.…
