Essays are provided by the director of the museum and numerous critics…. Writing by Wesselmann himself, under the guise of Slim Stealingworth is included repeatedly, and chronologically, through Wesselmanns development. Wesselmann, writing on himself in the third person, is at once comical and insightful. His early work is interesting- we see the forms emerging- nudes barely forming a flat shape. And then these forms develop into female nudes, with the distractions of modern life crowding over and into them. Tom Wesselmann (illustrator).
