Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. 4to. pp 239. Original publishers pink laminated boards. Issued without dust jacket. Copiously illustrated in colour and black and white throughout. With a small plain white label reading 'Simon Lee' indicating the book came from the art reference collection of the Simon L…ee Gallery (2002-2023) dealers in contemporary art in Mayfair, London and Hong Kong. Throughout his forty-year career, Hanson created lifelike sculptures portraying working-class Americans and overlooked members of society. Reminiscent of the Pop Art movement of the time, his sculptures transform the banalities and trivialities of everyday life into iconographic material. The exhibition at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery presented key works from the artist's oeuvre. ISBN: 1908617292 Very good indeed.
