Daniel Hirshberg wrote the book in 1993 and argued that Rizzuto deserved a spot in Baseball's Hall of Fame, which inducted him in 1994. W…ith a low lifetime WAR, Rizzuto probably would not make the Hall today. After his playing career was over, Rizzuto began a long career as a Yankee broadcaster. Hirbshberg was the sports editor of the Hackettstown (N.J.)Star-Gazette when the book was written. Both the non price clipped Dust Jacket and the book are in very good condition. After his playing days were over, Rizzuto joined the Yankee broadcasting team in 1957 and would remain a fixture for the next 4 decades. Phil Rizzuto was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994.
