Clean putty colored cloth boards with red, black and beige decoration (three children looking through gap in fence), decoration continued on rear board. Black lettering on spine. No fraying or wear-through; small bump to rear corner tip. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Beautiful old custom bookplate on front fixed endpaper. Illustrated by Florence Liley Young (12 two-color illustrations). Translated from the Norwegian of Dikken Zwilgmeyer. 283 pages.
