Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. This offering is an vintage copy of Caribbean Cocktail which was written by the husband-wife team of Everild Young and K, Helweg Larsen. It has also been inscribed-signed - and dated by the couple on the title page. This copy was published by Andrew…Melrose in 1955 and is a stated "First Published 1955". The date in the inscription is "Jan. 56". The book is NOT an ex-library copy and while the book is in very good condition the dust jacket is in very good - condition with a few "chips" to the edges and some yellowing. The book is 5 3/4" by 8 1/2" and has 208 pages with an Index - a Table of Contents - and a List of the many many Illustrations . . . all older black-and-white photographs. "This solid - yet rollicking book - is crammed with stories of treasure and pirates - colonial history and discovery - lost tribes - voodoo and strange religions - ancient cultures - ancient cities - plus modern cars, radio and motor-boats and modern life. It is both for the tourist and the arm-chair traveller. This excellent chronicle embraces the whole Caribbean from the Bahamas south through the magical islands in Venezuela and Columbia in South America." It looks to be an absolutely great source book for both writers and travellers. Thank you. Everild Young and K, Helweg Larsen (illustrator).
