A near fine copy in a good+ dust jacket. With Acknowledgements and Introductory Note by Peter Selz, Chronology compiled by Irene Gordon, an "autobiographical statement" by Alberto Giacometti on pages 14-29 (translation of a 1947 letter from the artist to New York gallery owner Pierre Matisse with English text on versos and facsimiles of the original French on opposing rectos), 96 b/w illustrations/photographs including frontispiece, 16 color plates, Selected Bibliography (pages 112-114), and concluding Catalogue of the Exhibition. Published as the accompanying catalog for a comprehensive exhibition of Alberto Giacometti's work organized by New York's Museum of Modern Art and opening there from June to October 1965 and touring to The Art Institute of Chicago, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and closing at the San Francisco Museum of Art from March to April 1966.
