Farrington which emphasizes the Hawaiian children's cultural diversity, but similarities to children on the mainland. In 80 pages with Hawaiian glossary in rear, lavishly illustrated throughout. This slim hardcover book has bright turquoise-blue cloth covered boards with a colorful front paper pastedown that has a small crayon mark under rainbow & very mild edgewear. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, binding tight & square, pages creamy white with very mild tanning to outer edges, else unmarked. No DJ. Bumping to edges of covers with a bit of nicking and fraying to the cloth at the corner tips and top and bottom of spine. Moderate scuffing and soiling to cover illustraton. Binding tight. Previous owner's name in ink on first page. Child's crayon markings on last page and last index page. Otherwise pages are lightly aged but unmarked with occasional spotting and soiling. NOT Ex-Library. Charming illustrations. Samuel Lowe was the former president of Whitman Publishing before he founded his own company in Kenosha Wishconsin in 1940.
