For voice and piano. Plate impression "Listen to my tale of woe. 3." There's an advertisement stamped at the bottom of page three, "'Bill Kelly's New Spring Pants,' Hubbard T. Smith's Latest Comic Song. Price 40 Cents." The lyrics are derived from Field's poem, "The Little Peach Tree" with a few additions. Late 19th century children's stories and poems can be surprisingly grim and this one is no exception.

The name stamp is that of prolific American composer and pianist, Fay Foster, who took first place in the American Composers Competition of 1913. The lyrics to this song are from Eugene Field's children's poem, "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod," who set sail in a wooden shoe to go fishing. This song, composed by Margaret Dixon, is unrecorded by *OCLC* and appears to be equally scarce in the trade.

The front cover states, "Dedicated to T…he Hatfield House" though it is unclear if it is referring to the historical house in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This piece is unrecorded by *OCLC* and appears to be equally scarce in the trade; furthermore, we could not find any solid biographical information on the composer, Morris Ellsworth. There's a chance he's the original composer, and subject, of a song called "Morzie Ellsworth" about a Mane-ite moving to Pennsylvania to work as a lumberjack, which Brian Miller of the website, *EverGreenTrad* states "likely descended from the New Brunswick (Canada) song 'Morris Ellsworth.'" But this was all the info we could glean on Ellsworth and while it's a remote chance, we find the concept of a lumberjack-composer mentally conjuring melodies while chopping wood deep in the forest quite Romantic. Either way it remains a rare and intriguing piece.

An o…dd song about a child asking her father how much money he would take for her (a rather grim premise for a tune), the father answers "a dollar" but then goes on to say that really there is no amount high enough. *OCLC* locates a single digital holding of an 1885 edition published for *The Toronto News Company* with words credited to S. B. McManus, however this edition is unrecorded and appears to be equally scarce in the trade. An interesting novelty of a song with a delightfully creepy cover illustration.
