Seine neue Serie entstand während der letzten 20 Jahre und zeigt Landschaften in Bewegung. Bä…ume und Gräser biegen sich im Wind, steile Klippen und vom Wasser geformte Felsen und Steine liegen umhüllt von Gischt und Nebel in der Meeresbrandung, die Horizontlinien verschwinden im Weißgrau des Himmels. Der koreanische wie auch der in China und Japan gebräuchliche Begriff für Landschaft setzt sich aus den Wörtern 'Wind' und 'Szenerie' zusammen. Er ist eng verbunden mit den traditionellen, kosmologischen Vorstellungen von einer alle lebenden Dinge durchziehenden Quintessenz, dem Äther.
