      Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. No Jacket. First American Edition. Gold hardcover with black drawing of stone bridge and gilt title on cover and spine. The edges are lightly worn. Endpapers are lightly tanned with an inscription on the FFE "To my young Rankin friends from rebel Withers A story written by my oldest sister about her four little Withers sisters and one brother. I am named Maggin in the story my brother Will is Jack." The 106 pages are clean but are lightly tanned/soiled at edges.

      Condition: Good. First edition (hardback). 8vo (21cm by 16cm), 96pp. Text illustrations (including 5 in colour) by Maggie Salsedo. Original orange cloth, dustwrapper. The endpapers are tanned, and one sentence has been underlined in ink; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. The dustwrapper is in good plus condition (some chipping of the edges). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.
