This includes a song written in African-American "dialect" by M.H. Roseneld titled "I'll Send you Down a Letter From de Sky." Last section contains biographies and illustrations or photos of noted composers and performers, including Richard Wagner and many others. GOOD condition. General fading to the covers, with some soiling and minor staining. Extremities bumped and scuffed. Front endpaper with several small tears. Text block toned, with some pages wrinkled. Minor scattered soiling.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Hardcover in original blue cloth boards stamped with illustration of a woman strumming a guitar. Faded but visible, as is title on spine. No dust jacket. Book is in very good condition. Pages are clean and unmarked except for a few occasional tiny tears to edges. Paper is unfoxed and not brittle. Spine is a little loose but binding is not in danger of giving out. Corner tips of boards are worn, as are edges of boards in general. Includes a lengthy index of titles and first lines and a section in the rear of phototype engravings and portraits of musical figures. Ornate presentation page at front has never been filled out.
