Umrahmt wird diese heroisierende Grafik meist von dem Frakturschrift-Schriftzug "Buch und Schwert - Sinnbild unserer Zeit" einer propagandistischen Kernphrase der NS-Zeit. Sie sol…lte die Verbindung von geistig-ideologischer Ausrichtung ("Buch") und militärischer Aggression ("Schwert") im totalen Krieg symbolisieren. - Frontbuchhandlungen waren von der Wehrmacht und der NSDAP eingerichtete Buchläden im besetzten Ausland (wie hier in Reims / Frankreich zwischen 1940 und 1942). Sie dienten der Versorgung deutscher Soldaten mit ideologischer und unterhaltsamer Kriegsliteratur zur "Truppenbetreuung". - Motiv: 8 x 4,5 auf Blatt 13,5 x 8,5. * Der deutsche Maler und Grafiker Albert Windisch (1878 - 1967) war ein renommierter Professor, Typograf und Grafiker, der unter anderem an der Kunstgewerbeschule Frankfurt lehrte. - Sehr gut erhalten .
