Poems, art, photography from the streets of San Francisco in 1969. Drawings by Larue Kismet, then seventeen. Poems by A.D.Winans before he dropped the Allan from his name. Poetry and art by teenage San Franciscans(and a few older, in their twenties). Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
SIGNED and numbered, Number 30 of 150 copies. 44pp, (4x6 inches), b&w photos by the author. Very Good in stapled self-wrappers (soft cover), with a sheer (opaque) paper cover (similar to onion-skin paper). The front panel of the opaque cover has been damp, a little puckered, and with a diagonal crease. No sign of dampness anywhere else. Front cover is dusty looking, not quite soiled, otherwise clean, crisp, no other creases, no markings. This is a tiny little book of poems, bi-lingual, French and English versions on facing pages. "A.D. Winans was born and resides in San Francisco. A graduate of San Francisco State College, he is a long time small press activist and the former editor/publisher of Second Coming Magazine and Press. He was a friend of such noted writers as Bob Kaufman, Jack Micheline, and Charles Bukowski." There is a Bukowski blurb on the back cover, along with a photo of Winans. Signed by Author.

Condition: Good. TLS from poet and editor Winans, who edited the little magazine Second Coming, and was associated with Beat poet Bob Kaufman and writer Charles Bukowski. Letters discuss election to Coordinating Council of Literary Magazines grants committee. First letter is a brief TLS on a half-sheet of typing paper; the other letter covers one side of an 8-1/2 x 11 inch sheet of typing paper with a few sentences on the verso. Both signed in ink "Al Winans" Also present are the original mailing envelopes, Letters are Near Fine; envelopes are Very Good, with slight staining and handling wear.
