There is a gift inscription on the front endpaper possibly from the author but simply signed Robert (appears same as first part of his usual signature). The book in in good condition for its age. The unclipped dust jacket has some closed tears and creasing at the top and middle of the spine and some rubbing at the corners and edges with some losses and a further small closed tear between the front and bottom of the flap. The dust jacket also has some general staining to the back. There is some yellow speckling to the page edges at the top and side edges. Internally the pages are clean and the binding is firm.
