Published in 1924, this is a scarce 32 page book on fortune telling using tea leaves and playing cards, by using "The Cup of Knowledge", the book is a paperback format measuring just under 6 inches tall, the contents printed in red and black inks. Accompanying the book is "The Cup of Knowledge", a China tea cup made by Aynsley with a set of playing cards printed on to its interior. The cup is 2 inches tall approx. and 3.75 inches wide. After the cup of tea is finished, the reader observes where the remaining tea leaves have settled relative to the printed symbols inside the cup, and by consulting the book the reader is able to find the specific meanings to read the person's luck or fate. CONDITION The book has some creasing and rubbing wear to covers, internally there is some staining to inside front cover (pictured) some creasing corner wear within else in good general condition. The cup is in good general condition, but illustrations within show a saucer with the cup, if the cup was issued with a saucer with this book, it is not present.
