Based on the 1968 novel by Marjorie Kellogg, about a young woman who suffers severe facial scarring after being attacked with battery acid, but finds comfort in friendship with two other social outcasts. Nominated for the Palme d'Or. Shot on location in Massachusetts and California. White wrappers, with a vertical tear to the partial front wrapper, obscuring the title. Title page present, dated May 1, 1969, with credits for director Otto Preminger and screenwriter-novelist Marjorie Kellogg. 177 leaves, with last page of text numbered 184. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 6/27 and 8/11. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Good, bound internally with a silver prong.…
