First printing thus (with publisher's number line upon copyright page) SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. 360 pages. Hardcover: H 23.5cm x L 15.5cm. Dust jacket lightly rubbed with slight bumping to spine ends; front flap is not price-clipped. Blue cloth with vibrant silver stamping to spine; minor bumping to spine ends. Touch of soiling to…text block's fore-edge. US Post Office commemorative Tennessee William stamp affixed near top of front free endpaper with author's two-line black inscription "Dakin William | March 26, 2004" written below center (book was quite likely signed at a Tennessee Williams event held at the author's hometown of Columbus, Mississippi). Laid-in at front endpapers is September 2010 Columbus, MS brochure titled "Tennessee Williams Tribute & Tour of Victorian Homes." Interior pages are otherwise bright and clean. Binding remains fairly crisp. A near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket. This book's title page verso cites the original edition's 1983 copyright and the original ISBN; this second edition (per the addition of Michael Ritchie's afterword "The Final Curtain") was issued after the 1994 passing of Shepherd Mead so probably circa 1995-2000. {LitCrit-Shelf#2} ISBN 0877954887.
