Major William Williams was the founder of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and the manuscript of his account of its history was first edited by Edward Breen who prepared them for a radio program in 1950. They were first published in book form in 1962. This second printing was issued in 1972. Original publishers white paper covers with black and red spine and cover lettering and decoration. The frontis illustration and one signature are loose, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates.
