Hardcover. Condition: Fair. 1923, xvii, 356pp, index, illustrated. Extremities badly worn, moderate soiling, previous owner's bookplate at front pastedown, and name at first endpaper. Those interested in English literature might find this book interesting and of benefit in pursuing their own collections. The author, William Harris Arnold, assembled two great libraries of mostly English and American 19th Century literature. He concentrated his later efforts on his Robert Louis Stevenson and Alfred Lord Tennyson collections, creating the first major collection in America of Tennyson.
