Possibly a Pirate Edition; the publisher had multiple bankruptcies and was successfully sued by Mark Twain. Decorative binding of red cloth, stamped in black; titling is red within gilt compartments. Clean text; 535 pages; includes an index and an appendix of anecdotes. The frontis portrait is foxed but the textblock is not affected.
