Very scarce volume analyzing the hebrew grammar of David Khimi, whose work became the standard in the middle ages, and is here analyzed by Chomsky, notably father of philosopher Noam Chomsky. This volume is apparently very difficult to find, and here is presented in decent albeit imperfect condition.…Binding seems sturdy, if not a bit frail, but seems likely to hold handled carefully. Front gutter shows a little, but doesnt seem that a split is inevitable, again with proper care. Most of all, the pages are extremely age toned and very brittle, so this should be taken into account for anyone looking to use it for reference - text is legible, and there are no markings, but the toning is heavy and in some cases the pages are so brittle that they are chipping. This is the case for a few pages of the introduction as well as pages 214-230 which had an abrasion at the margin leading to some loss of paper there. Boards fairly clean, with a small paint stain on the rear board and some fraying to the cloth at the spine strip. See photos.
