Written by the pharmacist and foremost Belgian botanist of the late 19th and early to mid-20th century, Émile Auguste Joseph de Wildeman (1866-1947) assisted by the director of the Jardin Botanique de l'Etat (or Jardin Botanique Belgique) in Bruxelles, Théophile Alexis Durand (1855-1912). Uncut. Provenance: old stamp of the Rijksmuseum of Natuurlijke Historie in Leiden on the front wrappers. Wrappers split at spine, chipped at edges. Internally a very good, clean set. Strangely, this work is not recorded by Stafleu and Cowan.
